Rusal's management is preparing a share buyback program, sources told TASS. Appropriate proposal is planned to be submitted to the company's Board of Directors in November this year.

Rusal's IFRS net profit for 6 months of 2024 amounted to $565 mln, up 34.5% from $420 mln in the previous year. Revenue decreased by 5% to $5.7 bln against $6 bln a year earlier.

Rusal's RAS net profit for 6 months of 2024 amounted to ₽4.59 billion, compared to a loss of ₽0.33 billion in the previous year. Revenue amounted to ₽5.2 billion. A year earlier, the company had no revenue.

Design work on Rusal's alumina refinery in the Lomonosov district of the Leningrad region will begin in late 2024 or early 2025.
