FDA has expanded the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech booster vaccine from COVID-19. It can now be given to people 18 years of age and older 6 months after the completion of the initial vaccination. Previously, the FDA had only allowed the booster to be used for people 65 years of age or older, and for people 18 to 64 years of age with a high risk of severe coronavirus or a high risk of occupational exposure.
