Gazprom started design and survey work for the Power of Siberia - 2 gas pipeline. The project is aimed at connecting the Western and Eastern gas transmission infrastructure of Russia and gasification in Eastern Siberia. The Power of Siberia - 2 may also become the basis for a new export channel via Mongolia to China with a capacity of up to 50 billion cubic meters. At the same time, Yamal gas will be supplied to Europe and Asia as well.
