Retailer X5 Retail Group expects to occupy 15-20% of the online sales market in 2024, accelerating the digital transformation, which began in 2017. According to the company, in the first quarter of 2020, it was among the three largest online retailers in terms of turnover, and in April it was the leader, slightly ahead of Utkonos and Sbermarket. The company connects the prospects for expansion of this business with the delivery of ready-made food and alcohol, the admission of which for Internet sales is now being discussed by the authorities.
