As of Thursday, Facebook will start marking pages of media corporations, which are fully or partially controlled by the authorities. The company wants to ensure transparency in such media "because they combine the influence of a media organization with the strategic support of the state" and "people should know that the publications from which they receive news may be influenced by the government.
