Acron attempted to challenge claims of abuse of tax benefits when paying dividends. However, at the beginning of June 2020, the court refused to cancel ₽1.7 billion in additional accruals. According to experts, the case confirms that with the introduction of the concept of actual right to income in Russia, it is no longer possible to reduce the rate on dividends from 15% to 10% or 5% by applying the benefits under double taxation agreements to intermediate links.
