Starbucks will close some 400 coffee shops in North America within 1.5 years amidst the pandemic and declining economic activity. Also, 300 new coffee shops will be opened by the end of the fiscal year, which is two times less than planned. In addition, the company expects that the coronavirus pandemic will lead to a $3-3.2 bln decrease in consolidated revenues for Q3 and an operating profit of $2-2.2 bln.
