Car manufacturers Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot faced an EU antitrust investigation after they refused to make concessions related to the planned merger. After the merger, the companies will be the 4th largest with a high market share in small vans. This is of concern to competition fighters. The deal itself is valued at $50bn. EU executive body, Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot declined to comment.
