The Nord Stream-2 operator denied the information that cod spawning prevents the pipeline from continuing construction. This was also confirmed by the Head of the Press Service of the Danish Energy Agency, Thure Falbe-Hansen. He stressed that the work in the restricted zone related to spawning was completed in December 2019. Earlier, the German radio station NDR Info and the newspaper Die Welt reported that the construction of the pipeline was postponed until September, due to cod spawning, which lasts from early July to late August.
