Amazon is intensifying competition with British supermarkets, expanding the reach of its online fresh food delivery service. Orders over £40 on Amazon Fresh will now be free for customers at Prime's online store. Prior to this, an additional monthly shipping charge of £3.99 or £2.99 was required. The minimum order value has also been reduced from £40 to £15. In addition, faster service: one-day delivery before midnight is now available in over 40 locations in the southeast, provided customers order their products before 9pm.
