MTS was the first in Russia to obtain a license for mobile communication services in 5G format. The license to create a communication network in the range of 24.25-24.65 GHz in 5G/IMT-2020 standard in 83 of 85 regions of the country was issued by Roskomnadzor until July 16, 2025. The first users will be large enterprises: oil and gas and industrial business. 5G will allow corporate customers to use artificial intelligence, Internet of things, virtual reality for remote control of equipment, develop unmanned transport, interactive training programs and create the latest quality control systems in production.
