Takeda Pharmaceutical will produce and commercialize Novavax candidate vaccine against coronavirus - NVX - CoV2373 in Japan. Once the drug is approved by the country's regulator, Takeda will receive funding from the Ministry of Health to expand infrastructure and produce more than 250 million doses of the vaccine per year. Novavax will receive a portion of the vaccine sales revenue and additional payments, depending on the achievement of certain commercial indicators.
