Volkswagen began mass production of the first all-electric off-road vehicle ID.4 on the MEB platform at its Zwickau factory. Investment in the conversion of the plant for the production of electric vehicles amounted to € 1.2 billion. In 2021 the plant will produce about 300,000 electric vehicles on a MEB platform.
