Rusal has decided to withdraw from its joint venture North United Aluminium, which trades aluminium in China, partly due to low sales volumes, Reuters reported citing sources. The company is negotiating the sale of its stake to a joint venture partner, state-owned China North Industries. Rusal has already begun recruiting employees to open its own office in Shanghai, which may strengthen the company's marketing presence in the country and boost sales.
