The telemedicine service of Yandex and the Baring Vostok Foundation - Doc+, will unite with its competitor Doctor beside. As a result of the deal Doc+ will become part of the service Doctor beside, and the founders will become shareholders of the united company, which will be headed by General Director of Doctor beside Denis Shvetsov. Telemedicine is a promising and rapidly growing business area. However, Russia retains the ban on diagnosing and prescribing treatment to patients remotely, which hinders market development.
