MTS will deploy private 5G networks on the territory of enterprises of Perm region and in the pilot zones of the project smart city. For this purpose, the operator will send ₽1.5 billion by 2022. The relevant agreement was signed by MTS Vice-President Igor Egorov and the Governor of the region Dmitry Makhonin. 5G will allow local enterprises to use technologies for remote control of equipment, development of unmanned aerial vehicles and creation of the latest quality control systems in production.
