Wabtec received an order for two battery electric locomotives

Wabtec will deliver two FLXdrive battery electric locomotives to BHP Western Australia in 2023. The FLXdrive is recharged both through charging stations and by means of regenerative braking, and the total battery capacity of the electric locomotive is 7 MW*h. The cost of the electric locomotives was not disclosed.
