Court halts construction of Mountain Valley Pipeline

U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit reversed the federal government's approval of Equitrans Midstream's $6.2 billion Mountain Valley Pipeline route. Specifically, the court overturned permits from the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management authorizing the pipeline to run through 5.6 kilometers of Jefferson National Forest.
