Yandex.Taxi service blocked in Latvia

The Latvian Motor Transport Board has revoked the registration of the Yandex.Taxi service and blocked the Yandex Go mobile application in the country. The service provides active data exchange with servers hosted in Russia, which is a threat to Latvian national security, the regulator explained. Drivers and carriers who continue to use Yandex Go after March 23 may be fined.
