BioNTech has begun construction of an mRNA vaccine manufacturing plant in Kingali, Rwanda. The approximately 30,000-square-meter facility will be equipped with two BioNTainers. One will be used to produce mRNA vaccines and the other to handle the finished product. The first unit is planned to be delivered by the end of 2022. Production at the facility will start in about 12-18 months after the installation of the two BioNTainers.
