Goldman Sachs will cut 3,000 employees

Goldman Sachs may lay off more than 3,000 employees this week, which will be the largest layoff in the history of the Wall Street giant, writes Reuters. The layoffs will affect all of the bank's divisions, but the investment banking division and the loss-making consumer lending business could be hit hardest.
