Prototype of the SJ-100 short-range airliner manufactured by the Yakovlev Production Center successfully made its maiden flight in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. To speed up the testing program, the first prototype of the airliner used French-Russian SaM146 engines. Second prototype will soon start the test program with domestic PD-8 engines, which are currently undergoing a series of bench tests and trials as part of the IL-76LL flying laboratory.
