Rusal will build an aluminum runway

Aluminum producer Rusal, investment company MASS GROUP and Sial Group of Companies will build Russia's first aluminum runway. Length of the experimental aluminum runway will be up to 600 m, and it will take about 300 tons of hardened aluminum alloy. Cost of a full-fledged aluminum runway, including logistics, installation and operating costs, will be 15-20% cheaper than a concrete runway.
