RusHydro may build the second stage of Sakhalin GRES-2, such a conclusion can be drawn from the report of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation following a meeting with Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov on the development of power generation in the Sakhalin Region. He also noted that work is already underway at Yuzhno-Sakhalinskaya TPP-1, which will also increase the reserve of energy capacity - it is the installation of two gas turbine units with a total capacity of 50 MW.
