Inter RAO builds in Kazakhstan three coal-fired CHPPs

Ministries of Energy of Russia and Kazakhstan signed an intergovernmental agreement on construction of coal-fired CHPPs in three regional centers of the republic. Inter RAO - Export and Samruk-Energo have been designated as authorized companies. Agreement relates to cooperation in construction of CHPP with capacity of 240 MW in Kokshetau, CHPP with capacity of 360 MW in Semey, CHPP with capacity of 560 MW in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Estimated cost of the Kokshetau project was ₸389 billion.
