Rusal will set up pilot production of scandium oxide

Rusal in 2025 will launch pilot production of valuable rare-earth metal - scandium oxide - at the Bogoslovsky Aluminum Plant. Its capacity will be 1.5 tons per year. Upon transition to industrial production, the output of the metal may be increased up to 19 tons per year. Total world production of scandium oxide is estimated at 20-25 tons per year.
