En+ Group to build in Siberia 1 GW thermal power plant

En+ Group has won a competitive selection for the construction of new generating facilities. Company will build a high-tech coal-fired thermal power plant in southeastern Siberia for the needs of the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Republic of Buryatia. Design of the Zabaikalskaya TPP provides for three power units with a capacity of 350 MW. First power unit is scheduled to be commissioned on July 1, 2031, and the station will reach its full installed capacity of 1,050 MW on December 1, 2031. Volume of capital expenditures will amount to more than ₽400 billion.
