Magnit will grow blueberries and apples

Magnit retailer acquired the Kolos Kuban farm in the Krasnodar Territory. The perimeter of the deal includes 262 hectares of land in the Crimean region, of which 73 hectares are occupied by blueberries and 82 hectares by apples. The deal could amount to ₽ 1.8 billion. It is planned to invest up to ₽1.4 billion more in the expansion of cultivated areas. The deal will allow Magnit to close 31% of its blueberry demand. Now it is the most popular berry in Russia, its sales are ahead of strawberries.
