MMK has suspended operations at the Chertinskaya-Koksovaya mine

MMK is putting the Chertinskaya-Koksovaya mine on dry conservation due to the extremely unfavorable market situation. Decline in coal concentrate prices, the increase in costs, and the reduction in consumption of coking coals have led to a significant increase in the cost of coal production at the mine over the past few quarters. In 2025, Chertinskaya-Koksovaya mined more than 1.2 million tons of ordinary coal.
