Swiss company Nord Stream 2 AG, operator of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, has filed a lawsuit with the EU General Court seeking to annul EU Regulation 2026/261 on the phased withdrawal from Russian gas imports and preparations to end Russian oil supplies. The case was registered as T-264/26, with no hearing date scheduled yet. The company argues that the regulation was adopted on an incorrect legal basis and effectively deprives it of the ability to use the pipeline commercially, which it describes as a de facto expropriation without compensation. The claim, filed on April 27 against the European Parliament and the Council of the EU, was disclosed in a notice published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
