The loss of Caesars Entertainment under GAAP for 6 months of 2020 amounted to $275.634 million against a profit of $57.165 million in the previous year. Revenues decreased by 52.9% to $0.6 billion compared to $1.273 billion a year earlier.

Eldorado Resorts bought Caesars Entertainment Corporation for $17.3 billion. After the merger, Eldorado shareholders own 56% of the combined company. It operates 55 casinos in 16 states and other countries, including Dubai and the United Kingdom. Eldorado has become the largest company in the U.S. gaming industry, which is ahead of MGM Resorts International.

The Eldorado Resorts casino chain was approved by the Federal Trade Commission for merger with Caesars. The deal satisfies the necessary antitrust approvals and will create the largest operator of gaming assets in the U.S..
