Just Eat Takeaway.com CEO Yitse Groen is considering selling all or part of Grubhub's U.S. division for $7.3 billion. The U.S. segment was acquired less than a year ago. However, there are complications with the sale due to the fact that a deal involving competitors such as Uber Eats and Amazon may not be met with approval.

GrubHub's GAAP loss for 3M 2021 was $75.461 million, up 2.3 times from $33.427 million in the prior year. Revenue increased 51.7% to $550.592 million from $362.98 million a year earlier.

GrubHub's GAAP loss for 2020 was $155.861 million, up 8.4 times from $18.566 million the year before. Revenue rose 38.7% to $1.82 billion, compared to $1.312 billion a year earlier.

According to the results of 9 months of 2020, Grubhub's loss amounted to $88.076 million against a profit of $9.152 million in the previous year. Revenue increased by 35.6% to $1.316 billion against $970.881 million a year earlier.
