Putin instructed to give data processing centers preferential access to electricity, supporting the request of Rostelecom head Mikhail Oseevsky at a meeting on IT and communications development to provide RTK Energosbyt's subsidiary with an opportunity to enter the wholesale electricity market. This will allow to significantly optimize operating expenses on energy resources. According to the operator's annual report, Rostelecom holds 26% of the Russian data center market.
