The Russian government is discussing the creation of an investment instrument tied to diamonds, similar to bank bullions. It is also planned to develop standards that take into account the purity of diamonds and their caratage. The issue was discussed at a meeting on the development of the Sakha Republic held under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yury Trutnev.
