The Ministry of Communications proposed to the President to increase production of tablets on the Rostelecom's russian operating system - Aurora from 360 thousand to 1.2 million pieces. The first 360 thousand devices have already started to be produced for the All-Russian Population Census, which will be held from April 1 to April 30, 2021. Rostelecom has spent about ₽7 billion rubles on the development of Aurora, and from 2020 estimates its annual costs at ₽2.3 billion rubles. The company expects to enter the mass consumer segment from 2026.
