VTB filed a lawsuit against Otkrytie Promyshlennye Investitsiyami (Opening Industrial Investments) demanding repayment of over ₽61 billion of credit funds that were granted to the company in 2017 to buy AGD Diamonds from Lukoil. The Otkritie Holding's subsidiary has ceased to meet its loan obligations and is at risk of further deterioration of its financial position amidst the litigation over the FAS claims in the 2017 transaction.
