Major deals
Dominion Energy sells its gas assets to Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway for $9.7 billion, including $5.7 billion in debt. Berkshire Hathaway will receive more than 7,700 miles of pipelines and about 900 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage and 25 percent of the Maryland gas liquefaction facility. The deal is scheduled to close in Q4 2020. Dominion Energy will direct the proceeds from the sale of the assets, which, subject to taxation, will amount to about $3 billion, for a share buyback.
