Joint venture Alrosa and Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company will start prospecting and preparation for exploration of primary diamond deposits in July 2020. Large-scale testing and drilling is expected to start in 2021. Alrosa's total investment in Zimbabwe in 2020-2022 will amount to $12 million. The company owns 70% of the ALROSA Zim JV, while the Zimbabwe State Diamond Company owns the remaining 30%.
