The Ministry of Finance is inclined to support large-scale purchases of Alrosa rough diamonds by the State Fund. According to the ministry, this will have a synergistic effect and will have a positive impact on market recovery. The company and the government of Yakutia expect the amount of the buyback, if approved, to be in the range of $0.5-1 billion. This may increase Alrosa's projected revenue by one-third at year-end and ensure that the republic's budget will be filled with dividends from the company.
