MMC Norilsk Nickel expects an independent expert review of the accident at the CHPP in Norilsk by the end of October - beginning of November. The survey is conducted by a world-class ERM company. The specialists study the possible causes of the accident, analyze the measures accepted to eliminate the consequences, and assess other aspects of the company's environmental impact. The results of the independent examination can help the company to challenge the amount of environmental damage, which the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Management has estimated at almost ₽148 billion.
