Chevron suspended its work in the Gulf of Mexico area. It happened because of Hurricane Laura raging in the area, which the day before was assigned the 4th of the 5 categories of potential damage, as its wind speed reaches 210 - 250 km / h. A total of 310 offshore oil facilities were evacuated along the way of Laura, 81% of oil production or 1.56 million barrels per day and 61% of natural gas production in the region was stopped. 6 refineries were shut down, processing 2.33 million barrels of oil per day, which is 12% of the volume of oil refining in the USA.
