Eni acquired 20% in the world's largest offshore wind farm, Dogger Bank, which is a joint venture between Equinor and SSE Renewables. The project involves the installation of 190 turbines with a total capacity of 2.4 GW. After reaching full capacity of 3.6 GW, the wind farm will supply about 6 million British households, meeting about 5% of UK demand for renewable energy. The construction of Dogger Bank is expected to cost Β£6 billion and will take place in two phases: the first will be completed by 2023, the second by 2024.
