RusHydro starts modernization of Neryungrinskaya GRES in the Far East. The investment will amount to ₽5 billion, and the work will last four years. It is planned to replace two autotransformers at the power plant, which will make it possible to remove the existing restrictions on the output capacity of the plant up to 90MW and increase the annual power output by almost 600 mln kWh. The company is also working on justifying investments to expand the Neryungrinskaya GRES by building two new power units with a total capacity of 430-450 MW.
