Amazon is buying movie company Metro Goldwyn Mayer for $8.45 billion. The company owns about 4,000 movies and 17,000 TV shows and series, as well as the cable channel Epix. MGM owns movie franchises about James Bond, The Hobbit, Rocky, and The Pink Panther. It produces such popular series as The Handmaid's Tale, Fargo, Vikings and Shark Tank.
