Court suspended for 30 days the operation of three fuel oil storage tanks of Konakovskaya GRES, which belongs to Enel Russia. The ban was imposed due to violations of mandatory industrial safety requirements identified by Rostekhnadzor. The company was issued an order to eliminate them, and the administrative violation report and other case materials were sent to the Konakovo City Court of the Tver Region for review and decision. Press service comment: Decommissioning of fuel oil storage tanks No. 2, 8, 11 will not affect the load and reliability of Konakovskaya GRES, so it will also have no impact on electricity supplies from the plant. The main fuel of the power plant is gas, while fuel oil is a reserve fuel. At the moment these tanks are taken out of service for industrial safety expertise in accordance with the annual schedule, the fuel oil facilities are monitored on a permanent basis by means of stationary piezometric wells, which excludes the possibility of negative impact on the environment.
