BrightDrop, part of General Motors, has completed assembly of the first production EV600 electric truck, which will begin shipping to FedEx later this year. The company also unveiled the EV410, a mid-sized commercial electric vehicle designed for short, frequent trips. The EV410 will be used by Verizon for maintenance and repair. BrightDrop plans to begin production of the EV410 in 2023 at the CAMI plant in Canada, where large-scale production of the EV600 should also begin in November 2022.
