Panasonic is considering building a new plant in the U.S. to produce batteries for Tesla electric cars, Nikkei sources said. The company plans to produce a new type of high-capacity battery starting in fiscal 2024. Several candidate locations are being considered, including Oklahoma, which is close to Tesla's new plant in Texas. The final location will be determined based on subsidies and other local government support.
