Merck will build a 69-acre semiconductor materials manufacturing complex in Zhangjiagang, China. The project will include plants to produce thin-film materials and special gases for electronics, as well as warehouses and operations centers. The company previously said it planned to spend $82.6 million to build the new base in Zhangjiagang.
