Energy Law Commission recommended that Inter RAO be appointed as the builder of the new thermal power plant in the Bodaibino District of the Irkutsk Region without a tender. Company offers three options for the project: a 480 MW plant with 6F.03 model turbines manufactured by Russian Gas Turbines, a 460 MW plant with GTE-170 turbines by Power Machines or with MGT-70 turbines by Iran's Mapna. Investments in construction will be recouped through mandatory payments to consumers throughout the country.
