Newmont is selling 18.75% of MARA project to Glencore for $124.9 million. Glencore will also pay another up to $50 million after production starts. After the deal is completed, Glencore's share in the project will be 43.75%. MARA has proven and probable reserves of 5.4 million tons of copper and 7.4 million ounces of gold contained in 1.105 billion tons of ore with an initial production life of 28 years.
